Sue Harvey
Sue is a Director at Campbell Tickell, an economist and a specialist in corporate finance, risk and assurance, regulation and governance.
She has more than 25 years’ experience working across social housing, charities, national bodies and regulators, as well as a background in economic forecasting, financial modelling and pensions. She is a highly respected conference speaker and is widely recognised for energising discussions on technical matters to build confidence and facilitate difficult decisions.
Her work includes:
- Supporting the NEDs and executive teams of over 90 organisations through regulatory assessments to articulate clear assurance and to build the confidence of interviewees;
- Helping Boards develop the risk competency to deliver their strategic ambitions in uncertain and challenging times;
- Supporting partnership discussions and merger implementation;
- Working with regulators including Regulator of Social Housing, Housing Ombudsman, Office of Road and Rail, Office of Nuclear Regulation, Agency, Scottish Housing Regulator, Welsh Government, Northern Ireland Executive and Housing Agency (Ireland);
- Supporting associations in financial difficulties and undertaking financial investigations– many involving lenders and regulators; and
- Facilitating strategic workshops and training at Board and executive team level in financial management, treasury, risk, audit, and NED responsibilities.
Sue was the Chair of the English Housing Ombudsman’s Audit and Risk Assurance Committee for seven years. She has also been the finance specialist on a subsidiary board of a large London housing association, the co-Chair of Housemark’s Business Assurance Club, a trustee of a care and support charity, a non-executive director of a NHS foundation mental health trust, the Chair of an inner London regeneration programme and a director of a commercial development company.
