Issue: 67 | September 2023

As the UK heads towards a general election and politicians go into overdrive with their positioning, public policy is in ferment in many areas, not least in the economic arena. By no means all of this is driven by politics, of course: many of the developments we are experiencing reflect wider trends in society and technological advances.

This issue of CT Brief draws together insights on a wide range of topics, from diversity and inclusion, to insurance, artificial intelligence and the relationship between health and other policy areas. We hope you find it an interesting and stimulating read.

At the same time, we want to bring you news from CT itself: we have recently been ranked by Consultancy UK as ‘Diamond’ (the highest rating) for housing consultancy, and as ‘Gold’ for local government and for non-profits consulting. We are really proud of this achievement, which reflects the hard work and commitment of all our colleagues.

And that’s not all: we have just achieved certification as a ‘B Corporation’. This is an acknowledgement that, while CT is a commercial business, we recognise we have a wider responsibility towards society. B Corps are companies assessed as meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. We will write more about what this means in the next issue of CT Brief.

Thank you for reading!
