Welcome to the governance issue

The contents of this edition of the CT Brief reflect a world of shifting certainties and change. The war in Ukraine and the continuing impact of Covid-19 remind us of the fragility of our assumptions and also perhaps why so many people are so committed to the sectors that we work in. When the spotlight has shifted, many charitable and public sector organisations remain focused on the consequences of altered circumstances (global, national, personal), and giving people hope about their futures.

If we span back five to 10 years, we see a shift in what preoccupies us today in the contents of this CT Brief: the need for safety of different kinds, the intolerance of exclusion, and the ongoing need to attend to and nurture organisational culture, dynamics and engagement.

As always, I hope you find this edition of the CT Brief useful. We welcome feedback so do let us know what you think and what else you might like to see included.
